CHILDREN from Penrith’s Hunter Hall and Beaconside schools shared top prize at the Penrith Swimming Club schools’ annual gala.

There was nothing to separate the two when they, and other Eden schools, took part in the competition.

Michael Ellery, of Beaconside, won the Dixon Shield, while Jamie Pearson, of North Lakes School, was awarded the Wilson Cup.

With 37 points, Long Marton School were victorious in the small schools’ trophy. Clifton won the award for medium sized schools.

Beaconside were the winners of the large schools’ trophy and also scooped the Thompson Memorial Shield.

However, their points total at the end was level with Hunter Hall, who claimed the large-medium schools’ prize.
